Her musical life centers on collaborative performance, embodiment, and teaching across musical traditions. Lisa holds a B.A. in Music and Religious Studies from Wesleyan University and a M.M. in Music Education from Carnegie Mellon University. As a performer, Lisa sings regularly in the Philadelphia Symphonic Choir with the Philadelphia Orchestra, including recent performances at Carnegie Hall and appearances in the Grammy Award–winning Netflix film "Maestro" with Bradley Cooper. Additionally, she plays cello in an Irish folk band, Puffins in the Kitchen, and sings in a contemporary chamber trio, The Lilac Hour, that won the Chamber Music Competition at Carnegie Mellon University in 2025. As a music educator, Lisa has taught string, choral, and general music classes, along with teacher-training workshops about exploratory, student-centered approaches to instrumental pedagogy. Lisa currently teaches Eurhythmics classes at Carnegie Mellon’s Preparatory School and Pre-College Program, and has taught with the Pittsburgh Girls Choir, Play On Philly, and Musical Mentors Collaborative. Her current work draws on 6 years of experience at Eden Village Camp — a radically loving environmental sleepaway camp — where she hired and trained staff, developed educational programs, managed social media, and recruited new families.
